Affordable Housing Tower
The Affordable Housing Tower project was an integrated group project completed by Advanced Interior Studio (FCSC 4288) and Architecture Design Studio IV (ARE 4600) students. The ARE 4600 students created an entire skyscraper from scratch; the structural plan was given to FCSC 4288 students to collaboratively create floor plans as well as interior perspective renderings. My job throughout the project was to alter the original floorplan for the apartment units and complete at least one render of the interior space.
Kitchen & Living Room
An L-shaped kitchen was selected to maximize efficiency and improve the kitchen work triangle. A bar top table on the island was also included to provide additional seating for informal meals.
Two-Bedroom Floor Plan
Due to the sharp and unpleasant corners the building's structure provided, several areas needed altering.
Bedroom
The exterior brick façade was implemented into the interiors of rooms to carry a uniform design throughout the building. The floor plan of each room was altered to provide ample walking space around the beds as well as space for a dresser or desk.
